Uphills Publishers LLC is founded with a mission to promote academic publication. Our aim is to hold up to the highest possible publishing standards that all our scholars, researchers, academic groups and institutions shall be proud of publishing content with us. The Terms and Conditions and the use of the Uphills Publishers LLC sites indicate that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and agree to be legally bound by all such terms. If you do not accept these Terms in full, you should stop accessing and using the Uphills Publishers LLC Sites immediately. You are solely responsible for Your Content. You assume all risks associated with the use of Your Content, including any reliance on its accuracy, completeness, or usefulness by others, or any disclosure of Your Content that personally identifies you or any third party. You are solely responsible for creating and maintaining your own backup copies of your User Content if you desire.

Ownership

Unless otherwise stated, the website and affiliated online services are the property of Uphills Publishers LLC, and the copyright of the website belongs to Uphills Publishers LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, hack, or modify the website or online services, or falsely claim that some other site is associated with Uphills Publishers LLC .

Registration

You may register or otherwise create a user account to access certain parts of the Uphills Publishers LLC Sites, or to receive certain content and/or to utilize certain functions of our online services, including features in which you interact with other users or us. You are responsible for representing and warranting that your registration information is accurate. Unless otherwise indicated, your registration is for your use only, and you are responsible for the use of any password you create or other information you provide during the registration process as confidential. You are responsible for any loss or damage you or we may suffer if you fail to do so. Uphills Publishers LLC reserves the right to deny, terminate, or restrict your access to any content or feature reached via such registration process for any reason, at our sole discretion. Uphills Publishers LLC also reserves the right to block or to terminate the user’s access to the website at any time and without prior notice.

Third-Party Content

Uphills Publishers LLC's website and online services may provide links to other websites or external resources. You acknowledge and agree that Uphills Publishers LLC is not responsible for these sites and resources, and thus is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources. Uphills Publishers LLC is not liable for any content or operation of such external sites or resources. Your business dealings with any third parties, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other warranties, conditions, or terms associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such third party at your own risk.

Modifications

You acknowledge and agree that the Uphills Publishers LLC Sites may be suspended, withdrawn, discontinued, partly or fully changed at any time, without prior notice. Uphills Publishers LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time by updating this page. You should check these Terms periodically to obtain timely notice of modifications we make. Your continued use of Uphills Publishers LLC Sites will mean that you have accepted and agreed to the changes. If any provisions of the Terms of Use should be found invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In any such case, the contracting parties shall negotiate on the invalid clause to substitute by a valid arrangement as close as possible to the original provision.

Fees and Payments

Uphills Publishers LLC offers publication services and the publication charges of each journal are clearly mentioned on the journal website. Authors must go through the respective journal website and check relevant payment information. Authors also receive an invoice with the relevant details.

Uphills Publishers LLC also offers services, such as print-on-demand, templating, editing services, proofreading, design, and copyediting.  The charges for each of these services vary, and the client must contact us by email or phone to get a quote. Upon agreeing and confirming the quote, an invoice is emailed to the client and the service work process starts immediately after receiving the payment.

We reserve the right to change the fees of our Services at any time. However, in no event will you be charged for access to the Services unless we obtain your prior agreement to pay such charges. You may cancel your requested service at any time within 24 hours after making the payment. You shall pay all fees and charges incurred at the rates in effect for the billing period in which such fees and charges are incurred. You shall pay all applicable taxes relating to use of the Services.

Refunds and Cancellations Policy

Uphills Publishers LLC retains the right to terminate/cancel a project under specific circumstances. This includes situations where the author has outstanding payments, has failed to settle dues according to the agreed-upon schedule, has not submitted the final manuscript within 4 weeks, or has not provided approvals within six weeks after receiving the acceptance letter, for drafts submitted by the editorial team.

The refund terms are outlined as follows:
Full Refund: 
  • Within 24 hours of the initial payment, the author is eligible for a complete refund of the total amount paid to Uphills Publishers LLC.
  • If the manuscript is not yet processed for publication, the author is eligible for a full refund.
  • If the requested service has not been initiated, the author/customer is eligible for a full refund.
No Refund: 

Uphills Publishers LLC does not allow for refund or cancellation in the following cases:

  • Authors will not be eligible for any refund after the publication of the manuscript or if the refund request is made more than 3 days post payment.
  • No refund will be made once the service is fulfilled and completed.
  • In case an author decides to withdraw the paper post-publication, there is no refund.
 Multiplicity of Payments / Extra Amount Debited
  • In case multiple payments have been made for the same manuscript or if an extra amount is debited from the author’s account, the extra amount received by Uphills Publishers LLC will be refunded back to the author’s bank account within 1-3 working days.

Do note that all refunds will be processed within 3-7 business days upon receipt of the refund request. All refund requests shall be sent to  info@uphillspublishers.com .  Any other mode/method of communication may delay the entire process.
